What is UlcerGard?

UlcerGard is an omeprazole oral paste for horses, made to help prevent stomach ulcers in horses during times of stress such as travel, training and competition.

How do I give UlcerGard to my horse?

UlcerGard comes in an oral syringe. Always follow the dosing instructions on the product label, or the advice of your veterinarian.

Is UlcerGard the same as GastroGard?

Both contain omeprazole, but they are labeled for different uses. GastroGard is for treatment and UlcerGard is for prevention. Talk to your vet about which is right for your horse.

Should I talk to a vet first?

Yes. We always recommend checking with your veterinarian before starting any product, especially if your horse is showing signs of illness.
